Services offered

The international impact of the research and transfer activities of the University of Cadiz is a primary objective of our institution. For this reason, we have an European and International Projects Office (OPEI) composed of 4 specialised technicians who provide support to researchers with the aim of increasing their participation in European and international R&D&I projects, with a special interest in the calls of the European Programme Horizon Europe.

The main services provided to the university community are as follows:

Search for opportunities:

  • Personalised meetings with researchers to know in more detail the lines of work and to inform them about the European and International Programmes more appropriate for them.
  • Design of an action plan to improve positioning at European level.
  • Identification of calls and topics of interest for the researcher.
  • Identification of the most relevant European events for the research group.
  • Establishment of contacts with public and private entities considered of interest as potential partners for collaborative R&D&I projects.
  • Identification of specialised dissemination platforms.
  • Information for researchers on available grants for the search for opportunities and preparation of proposals.

Preparation of proposals:

  • Support for partners search.
  • Collaboration in the drafting process of the proposal, with a special emphasis on the sections on impact and exploitation of results.
  • Contact the National Contact Points (NCPs) of the European programme in question to gather their views on the proposal.
  • Preparation of the administrative information documents of the proposal management for the signature of documents by the legal representative of the Institution.

Project implementation:

  • Management of all the legal documentation necessary for the implementation of the projects.
  • Technical support to researchers in the day-to-day management of ongoing projects.
  • Technical assistance to researchers in project meetings with partners.
  • Support in the preparation of technical and financial justifications for projects.
